Granting of certificates for amateur radio

Telecommunications Authority of Greenland issues personal call signs to persons who hold a valid certificate. Telecommunications Authority of Greenland also issues call signs to unmanned radio equipment for use in the amateur radio and amateur radio satellite services.

The issuance of a call sign is conditional upon the use of radio frequencies being linked to a Greenlandic address from which the frequencies are normally used. For the use of frequencies in the amateur radio and amateur radio satellite services, only the call sign issued to the radio amateur by the Telecommunications Authority Of Greenland may be used.
